HEALTH: Fitness Speak: What You're Really Saying
I’ve heard my clients and other gym goers say plenty of things, and then the result ends up completely different. So here is how I decode what people say…
“I’m going on a diet” - I will eventually stop eating this way and revert to my old habbits.
“I’m tired” - I don’t want it bad enough.
“I definitely will start next week” - I’m never gonna start.
“I’ll just have ONE” - Im going to eat the whole bag.
“I eat really healthy… yes drink alcohol” - I have no idea what the word “healthy” means.
“I can do 500 crunches” - I think doing crunches helps me get a six pack.
“Squatting is bad for your knees” - I’m an idiot.
“That looks way too heavy” - I dont have any self confidence.
“I don’t like doing mobility” - I will barely be able to walk when I’m 60.
“My friend said I can do (insert stupid fitness statement) and he/she is ripped” - I think that everyone’s genetics are exactly the same.
“I’m too busy right now” - You’re too lazy to walk into the gym and get on a machine.
If you got any good ones add em in there…
